The Weekend!

We had a great weekend, our fishing licenses started on Friday morning and ended on Monday at the same time.

Friday morning Uncle David took the Kubota back and we drove out to where we were going to go clamming. We had a great time and got a nice pile of clams.
Daniel got this idea of waving to the park ranger every time that she looked his way. When we were walking out, she came over to our group and demanded to know who that boy that kept waving to her was. ☺ We presented the culprit and she said that because of him she was going to give all the kids a free McDonalds ice-cream coupon that she had left over from a boat safety course! For once I guess Daniel’s antics paid off! ☺

There is a sort of lake that the tide fills and empties, that is what we were fishing in.

OKay, how on earth do you catch all of that in three days?! When I went to AK with my family several years ago (pre-Dan days) FOUR of us had licenses for FOUR WEEKS and we only one fish we could keep… total… to show for it! Something about the pink salmon had already run (so they were dying) and the silvers were out there just waiting out there in the middle of every lake (we didn’t have a boat) waiting for us to go home. NOT FAIR!

And you know what else is not fair? Not seeing the question at the bottom of this box and hitting submit comment… and then losing your entire comment and having to retype it. ROTFLOL.

Keep having fun! The pics are awesome!

Well it probably has to do with knowing where to fish, and fishing at the right time.

Well, if you had an account you wouldn’t have to enter your info every time that you want to make a post :) If I didn’t have that question, I would be getting a bunch of spam-comments :)

NEAT!!! Have fun!!

…Yuck. Clamming looks like a nasty dirty activity; it sure seems like something my mom and siblings would take great delight in doing, though! Now for me… I know this sounds counterintuitive, but I’d much rather be in the trauma center helping sew somebody up, doing CPR, etc. ;-) I used to have fun getting dirty, (we used to plan days to have organized mudfights with Pastor’s kids) but there’s no way I’m posting those pictures on the internet… that’s blackmail material! :-P
…those are some impressive fish!
…Haha! I love the picture of your grandpa standing in front of the cookie lineup, with one in his mouth!
