The Duggars have another girl!

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) It’s a girl – again – for the Duggars. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcomed their 17th child, and seventh daughter, into the world Thursday.
Jennifer Danielle was born at 10:01 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Ark., the Duggars said in an interview. Jennifer weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and arrived five days after Michelle’s due date.
Less than 30 minutes after giving birth, the Duggars already were talking of having more.
“We’d love to have more,” Michelle said, adding that the girls are outnumbered seven to 10 in the family. “We love the ruffles and lace.”
Jennifer joins the fast-growing Duggar brood, who live in Tontitown in a 7,000-square-foot home. All the children – whose names start with the letter J – are home-schooled.
The oldest is 19 and the youngest, before Jennifer, is almost 2 years old.
“We are just so grateful to God for another gift from him,” said Jim Bob Duggar, 42, a former state representative. “We are just so thankful to him that everything went just very well.”

I know numerous people that think they’re totally crazy… but I say that it’s neat how God has blessed them with those children and how He has provided for their family.
:-)

totally! Having that many siblings would be a blast!

I know… can you imagine? That would be amazing! Seriously, they have almost as many kids as my siblings, your siblings, and the Hearn kids all put together!

And people say that homeschoolers aren’t socialized! *laughing* What a joke. ;-)

OF COURSE WE’RE NOT SOCIALIZED!! Look, we don’t go to movies, do drugs, drink alcohol, attend public zoos.. oops!, I meant public schools and a host of other sociable things. Most of us are born into abnormal families where we know who our father and mother are….

Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

By the way, forgot to include that it was nice to hear about the Duggars. Lord Bless Them!

“OF COURSE WE’RE NOT SOCIALIZED!!”

You know what I meant, Yuriy. :-) The cry of “what about socialization” can best be answered through a family who is actively promoting *proper* socialization~ through the Biblical method of a husband & wife who realize the blessing of children.
It really does make me laugh when public-schooled people ask me, “But how did you make any friends?” “What about ___?” (Fill in the blank with prom, school dances, homecoming, sports events, etc., which I didn’t care to be involved in anyway!)
It is a pleasure to observe children that are able to properly interact with people of every age group~ from babies through elderly grandparents. A functional family unit is an integral component to learning such skills. Conversely, it is sad to see children/young people that truly have no concept of how to relate to anyone but the people within their peer group.
Anyway. Agreed~ many of the facets of “socialization” (as commonly interpreted by Americans today) are quite a poor standard to strive for. However, (IMHO) it should never be said of Christian homeschoolers that their children have not been trained to interact with others. Obviously, as oft stated in Proverbs, we should flee from the “strange woman” and not keep company with the “foolish man”, but our conversation (in the KJV usage, as our daily walk/reputation) and our ability to communicate clearly is definitely of importance to the Christian. Children are a legacy that can have a far-reaching effect; often much more than a parent will see in their lifetime. As Psalm 127:3-5 states,
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”

Wow. Sorry about that. ;-)
I didn’t mean to write a CDF-style discourse. *grin*

CDF style :)

I totally agree obviously ;-)

I agree! Good Job!

Just to be clear here, you do know that I was joking in my first post about being unsocialized……….
